About Us
Our mission is to create accessible platforms for creative, cultural, and faith-based expression while promoting hope, unity, confidence, and personal development.
Our vision is to inspire stronger, more connected communities where people feel valued, empowered, and included.
IGNITE Community Interest Company was founded in 2026 as an extension of the vision and impact created through the Light Concert event, which began in 2019. Light Concert was birthed with a clear vision: to create an atmosphere of worship that brings spiritual impact, transformation, and hope through music and creative expression. Its mission has been to connect people across Teesside and beyond, empowering individuals and communities to be awakened, transformed, and inspired through gospel music, worship, and faith-driven expression.
Since its inception, Light Concert has grown into a vibrant community platform, connecting and impacting over 600 individuals through worship, creative engagement, and community participation. It has also provided visibility and opportunities for young creatives, artists, musicians, fashion creatives, and individuals seeking accessible platforms to express their gifts and talents.
IGNITE Community Interest Company was established to build on this foundation, widen its reach, strengthen community networks, and increase the social impact already created through Light Concert. The company exists to advance community development, social inclusion, and public wellbeing through the delivery of gospel music events, creative arts workshops, mentoring initiatives, outreach programmes, and community-based projects.
Through this platform, we are able to reach and engage more young people, women, families, and vulnerable individuals who have an interest in music, arts, media, and other creative areas.
People from different nations, cultures, and backgrounds now call Teesside home, contributing positively to local churches, businesses, education, healthcare, music, food, arts, and wider community life. This diversity is especially visible in Middlesbrough, where Census 2021 data shows that 12.29% of residents were born outside the UK, the highest proportion in the Tees Valley.
In response to this growing diversity, Ignite Community company seeks to create a meaningful platform using Light Concert Event as a tool where people from different cultures, communities, churches, and backgrounds can come together in unity.
Ignite Community aims to promote social unity, community cohesion, personal growth, and positive transformation across Teesside and beyond.
